• Any pre-existing mortgage and/or insurance products and their terms and conditions.

How we get your personal information and why we have it

We collect and record Your Information from a variety of sources, but mainly directly from you. You will usually provide information during our initial meetings or conversations to establish your circumstances, needs and preferences in relation to mortgages and insurance, verbally and in writing, including by email.

We may make online facilities available to you to review and update Your Information directly. We may also obtain information from third parties — for example, credit checks, information from your employer, and searches of information in the public domain such as the electoral roll. Where we use technology to help collect Your Information, such as software that verifies your identity online or accesses your credit status or bank account entries, we will ask for your consent and explain how that software operates before it is used.

• Mortgage lenders and insurance providers.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored. We retain Your Information, electronically or in paper format, for a minimum of six years, or if longer, for the duration of our relationship with you. After this period, electronic information is wiped and paper records are destroyed by confidential shredding.
